LEGO Minifigures Online Video Game Details

Funcom, the developers and publishers of the upcoming LEGO Minifigures online MMO game coming out in 2014, have just revealed loads more details and a teaser trailer for the game on their website. These new details and the trailer reveal more about the game, such as the fact that it will let players complete quests to enhance their character and it will take place in many memorable locations including Pirate World, Space World and Medieval World.

LEGO Minifigures Online 1LEGO Minifigures Online will be free-to-play and will be available in the second half of 2014 for the PC, Apple iOS, and Android platforms and devices. In addition to being a DirectX 11 PC client, the game will also be playable through the browser with a new technology being developed by Funcom for its DreamWorld platform.

Another thing that is noticeable about the game is that both companies will be working together to allow players who purchase the physical minifigures to be able to use them in the game immediately. Funcom and LEGO are working closely together to blend the physical world of LEGO with the digital one; for instance players who purchase bags containing real minifigure will immediately be able to jump into the game and play with their virtual counterparts!
  • Unravel what is surely an Academy Award Winning* story! Take on quests such as searching for buried treasure in the pirate world, rescuing the kingnapped king in the medieval world, and even helping Zeus himself in the mythology world!

MOC of the Week: LEGO Big Wheel 3.0

Connor sent this complex LEGO Techinic creation in for this week’s MOC of the Week here at BrickExtra. He uploaded his “LEGO Big Wheel 3.0” to the LEGO CUUSOO website just a few days ago and is trying to get 10,000 supporters to make his model a real official LEGO set. So, what exactly is the Big Wheel? Well it has two extra-large Power Functions motors, uses turntable gears, and a wireless infra-red remote to drive for the massive Star Wars Hailfire Droid style wheels.

LEGO Big Wheel 3.0 by ConnorConnor has managed to pack in quite a lot of Power Functions and LEGO Technic motors and gears into this model, including working lights on the front and an IR receiver for the wireless remote control. The whole model is made up of over 600-700 pieces and it is 9 inches long (24 centimeters) and 7 inches tall (18.5 centimeters).
