MOC of the Week: LEGO Pirate Ship

Last week we had a well-built model depicting Daffy Duck and Bugs Bunny by Matt De Lanoy (Pepa Quin on Flickr). For this week’s MOC of the Week, we have a another creation from Matt, a mighty LEGO pirate ship. This model continue’s his Iron Builder challenge with Carl Merriam using the Plate W. Bows 2X3½ piece as part of each model.

LEGO Pirate Ship by Matt De Lanoy

Avast Ye, Builders of Iron!

Right from the start of this, I wanted to use the piece to build ship sails. I don’t know why. Maybe it works, maybe it doesn’t. In any case, I hope I’ve gotten it out of my system, now.

This is my fourteenth build in my Iron Builder round vs. Carl Merriam using the white seed piece.

The reason why I decided to feature one of Matt’s models again is the fact that the creation itself just looked perfect. For next week’s MOC of the Week, there will be a model from a different builder to keeps things fresh and new.

Remember to check out Matt De Lanoy’s other LEGO models over at his Flickr photostream here and share our opinion on his LEGO pirate ship in the comments section below.
