MOC of the Week: LEGO Christmas House

First of all, Merry Christmas to everyone and I hope that you have a great Christmas Day. Last year, we posted a LEGO Nativity Scene by agencyORANGE as 2012’s Christmas MOC of the Week. In 2013, Nick Sweetman’s LEGO Christmas House takes the honour of being this year’s Christmas MOC. Nick Sweetman (known as MinifigNick on Flickr) posted it on his Flickr photostream yesterday.

Some of details in this creation are amusing and some are just amazing. Another thing that makes this Christmas-themed MOC stand out from the rest is the fact that Nick has hung LED lights on the house and around the garden (see below).

Merry Christmas to all of BrickExtra’s readers and have a happy New Year! This year will be a bit different to last year’s Christmas holidays. Instead of me going away on holiday until early January, I will still be posting here – although not as often as usual. Thanks for reading and/or subscribing to BrickExtra this year and I hope to continue posting the latest LEGO news for many months to come. 🙂

MOC of the Week: LEGO Pac-Man

This week’s MOC of the Week right here at BrickExtra is a 3D LEGO Pac-Man model by Matt Wagner (wagner of the brick on Flickr). I chose this LEGO Pac-Man model because of the great photography, the curves on the walls, the way that Pinky, Blinky and Inky and Pac-Man are built and the overall 3D look of this particular creation. For who don’t know (I don’t know who wouldn’t but…), Pac-Man is an immensely popular arcade game released in 1980 (more information here).

Sort of an experiment to find out what the original Pac-Man would look like in LEGO and 3D. Pac-Man, Inky, Blinky, and Pinky are all based on Bram spheres.

It recently occurred to me that the walls in the original Pac-Man game look like something out of Tron (see for yourself here) and so I thought it might be neat to add a grid-type of floor to continue that motif.

And yes, those are minifig heads. 😀

wokka-wokka-wokka-wokka…
