LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Video Game Details and Demo

This year’s New York Comic Con ended a few days ago and, even though LEGO themselves didn’t attend the event, TT Games, the makers of the upcoming LEGO Marvel Super Heroes video game, were and they revealed some more details about the game. Read all about the latest information on the game below:

• New playable characters include Black Bolt, Ant Man, Electro, Shocker, Pyro, Nightmare, Absorbing Man, Malekith, Kurse, Taskmaster, Power Man, Iron Fist, Havok and Moon Knight.
• There will be Future Foundation Alternate Costumes
• Spider-Man’s Aunt May and Superior Spider-Man will be playable
• The game contains more than 50 vehicles and 150 characters
• She-Hulk will appear as a playable character
• The Thor: The Dark World DLC pack that was revealed earlier will include Malekith, Kurse, Sif, Volstagg, Odin, Hogun, Fandral and Jane Foster

TT Games also revealed that a PC demo for the video game would be released and LEGO has released it on the LEGO.com Video Games site today. So, for all those who have pre-ordered the game and are waiting for it to arrive and those who want to see if its worth purchasing, head over to this page to download the 600MB demo installer. Demos have also been announced for the PlayStation network (PSN) and Xbox and they are expected to be released later this week.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes video game is released in the US on October 22nd and in the UK on November 15th. PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game will be released at launch.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Thor Poster and DLC Pack

Yet another movie poster for a superhero movie has been recreated in LEGO it seems, with USAToday.com revealing the LEGO-ized version of the teaser poster for the upcoming second Thor film, The Dark World. The movie opens in cinemas on November 8th 2013. The last movie poster that was officially recreated in LEGO was for Iron Man 3 in April.

In other LEGO Marvel Super Heroes and Thor-related news, Warner Brothers have recently announced that they will be releasing a Thor: The Dark World themed DLC pack for the upcoming LEGO Marvel Super Heroes game. The pack will include 8 new playable characters from the film and will be available when the game launches.

We can only assume that the 8 characters to be included in the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Thor DLC pack will be some of the ones shown on the teaser poster that was revealed by USAToday.com.

The game will be released on PlayStation 3, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360 and PC near the end of this month (October 22nd to be exact). The LEGO Marvel game comes out at a time when no LEGO Marvel Super Heroes sets are being announced or released in the foreseeable future.

Fans are also expecting a bit more LEGO Marvel information to be revealed at the New York Comic Con, where Arthur Parsons, the TT Games game director, will be showing off some new sections of the game, unveiling several playable characters and exclusive announcements.
