LEGO Maersk 10241 Triple E Container Ship Revealed

LEGO has just announced their latest exclusive set, the LEGO Maersk 10241 Triple E Container Ship, at the LEGO Fan Weekend in Skærbæk, Denmark. This set replaces two previous LEGO Maersk ships, the 10152 Maersk Sealand Container Ship and the 10155 Maersk Container Ship. The set is scheduled to be released in January 2014, contains 1,518 bricks and will retail for US$149.99 and UK£109.99.

Presenting the largest ship in the world – the record-breaking Maersk ‘Triple-E.’ Built from over 1,500 bricks, the model recreates the real vessel in amazing detail. Our LEGO® designers have included rare colors such as medium azur, dark red, sand blue and sand green. There are rotating gold-colored screw blades leading to the brick-built twin propeller engines, which you can view through the window built into the port side of the ship. You can even customize it by adding or removing the containers. This authentic set includes a display stand and fact plaque with detailed information about the ship and, as a finishing touch, there’s the gold coin that is added under the mast of all Maersk Line ships for good luck on their voyages. It’s around this time of year when all the rumoured and/or leaked set name lists for early next year’s LEGO theme and products come to surface, with multiple name lists already being published and reported about online. Just a few days ago more information about the upcoming LEGO Simpsons line came to light on Nerdly.co.uk and today, thanks to All About Bricks, we bring you the un-confirmed LEGO Creator 2014 set names – see below.

All of the 10 sets on this list will probably come out at different times in the first quarter of 2014. Some of the names on the list that certainly caught my eye was 31015 Emerald Express, which could be another LEGO Creator train, and the 31025 Mountain Hut. I haven’t bought much LEGO products in a while but, with all these exciting set names, I think I might just have to next year when they come out.
